Designed and built by the last mayor of Montclair, architect Harlan Thomas, the Thomas house features red Manitou sandstone, battlements, towers, dormers, a Palladian window, and even a porte-cochere. The house dates to 1897, and is surrounded by mature spruce trees.
Still a private residence, it can be admired from the street at 740 Olive.
